Bulgaria's BDZ Passengers signs $14.3 million deal with Lukoil Bulgaria

Sofia, April 9 - Neftegaz.RU. Bulgaria's BDZ Passengers, a unit of state-owned group BDZ Holding, said today that it has signed a 25.7 million levs ($14.3 million/13.1 million euro) diesel fuel purchase deal with Lukoil Bulgaria.

The three-year contract envisages the supply of 15.6 million litres of diesel fuel, BDZ Passengers said in a notice. The deal was signed on March 10, according to the notice. Four companies submitted offers in the tender for the contract.

LUKOIL started operating in Bulgaria on October 12, 1999, by becoming the holder of a controlling interest in Neftoсhim AD, the largest-capacity refinery on the Balkan Peninsula. In penetrating new business areas and upgrading its production facilities, LUKOIL invested over $3 billion in the Bulgarian economy.

With more than 200 petrol stations, both own and franchise, the LUKOIL chain of petrol stations is dynamically growing company on the Bulgarian market of liquid fuels.
