UAE To Drill Russian Rig

Oil-and-gas extracting and exploration company Dragon Oil PLC, UAE, and two subsidiaries of LUKoil, Dragon Oil Turkmenistan Ltd and LukOil Shelf Limited, have extended the contract to lease jack-up drilling rig till March 31, 2005, Dragon Oil said.
Initially, LUKoil's Astra drilling rig was leased for 8 months, starting from Nov. of 2003.
Dragon Oil operates Astra for drilling in Cheleken area (Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea).
