The subsidiary of American company ChevronTexaco, Fuel and Marine Marketing, which is involved in worldwide marketing and sales of marine bunker fuels and lubricants, reported Wednesday that it is going to reorganize its business, that could result in a reduction of staff globally.
"FAMM has announced that it is evaluating a reorganization of its business, which may
result in a reduction in its current staff size. It is ChevronTexaco corporate policy - not to speculate on confidential HR issues, and we do not have any specifics to share with you at this time," the statement read.
The company refused to give detailed comments.
" If and when a reorganization is announced, information will be appropriately disseminated."
A US-based trading source at FAMM said an internal announcement about the possible reorganization was made earlier this week.
The source said there would be a "realignment of some businesses and some of its
people".
Fuel and Marine Marketing currently has a total of 22 offices worldwide.
