Russian joint-stock bank of the natural gas production industry Gazprombank intends to post $270-300 million net profit under IAS in 2004 vs. $194 million in 2003.
Gazprombank?s deputy chairman of the board Alexander Sobol informed the reporters Wednesday.
H1 IAS net profit stood at $192.3 million, 25% up on year ($153.9 million). Operating profit totalled $250.3 million vs. $169.1 million a year ago. Gazprombank posted the Q2 net loss of $99.3 million vs. $107.66 million net profit generated a year earlier.
The assets of Gazprombank group increased 22% from $6.966 bln to $8.536 bln over the first half of the year.
Gazprombank was set up in 1990. Stock capital equals 13.33 bln rbl. OAO Gazprom (87.49%), Gazprom's 100 percent owned subsidiary.
