Lukoil is planning to bring the production to one trillion cubic meters
Russian oil major Lukoil commissioned a pipeline at the Nakhodka gas field in Yamal with the design capacity of ten billion cubic meters of gas a year, ITAR TASS reported.
The company began developing the new gas field early in November 2003. Specialists estimate the reserves of the gas field at 275 billion cubic meters of gas.
According to Lukoils? president Vagit Alekperov, the development of the gas sector and the launching of the commercial development of gas fields on the Yamal peninsula is an important part of the company strategy.
