Russian gas monopoly Gazprom's value rose 4 percent to 5 percent from the $80 billion given by Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein as of June 30 last year, according to an unidentified source close to the company, the news agency Interfax reported.
Gazprom's value rose after buying out Rosneft's half of Sevmorneftegaz, the agency reported.
The company's value is no less than that of its American Depositary Receipts, Interfax reported, citing the person, who declined to give the new value. The government has asked for valuations on Gazprom so that it raise its stake in the company to a majority by purchasing at least 10.7 percent of its stock.
