Gazprombank, the authorized bank of Russian monopoly Gazprom, reported balance profit of 2.71 billion rubles as of May 1, 2005 against 5.64 billion rubles for the same period a year ago.
According to the Central Bank, Gazprombank's proceeds for the year 2004 amounted to 12.13 billion rubles against 5.78 billion rubles in 2003.
The bank established in 1990 has an authorized capital of up to 13.33 billion rubles. JSC Gazprom and its subsidiary Gazexport Ltd. are the main shareholders of the Bank.
