Yukos Acting CEO Warned Oil Companies

The CEO of Yukos oil company, Steven Theede made a statement at a Russian fuel and energy complex conference in Paris.

He warned that the Russian government is capable of ruining any business as it did with Yukos, Interfax reported.

Theede said what happened to Yukos, could happen to any other business at any time.

Calling on the Russian authorities to call off their attack on Yukos, Theede said all his company wants to do is produce oil as a stable and efficient company. Only the authorities can decide how Yukos ends up, he said, but the events of the past nineteen months leave little room for hope for the company's future.
