ExxonMobil Started Export Of Azeri Oil

US oil major ExxonMobil launched the first export of Azeri oil to western markets via Georgia?s Black Sea port of Batumi on July 2nd.

ExxonMobil, which has the rights to export Azeri oil, announced last December that it will not participate in the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline project, and signed a five-year contract with the Azpetrol company to export 10 million tons of Azeri oil by rail from Baku to the Georgian port of Batumi.
