A former employee of the US oilfield service company Halliburton?s subsidiary has admitted taking $110,300 in bribes from an Iraqi firm it awarded a US contract.
Glenn Allen Powell, who worked with KBR company, faces up to 20 years in jail and a fine of up to $1.25m. He was fired after an internal investigation in January.
Halliburton spokeswoman Cathy Mann said on this matter, "We do not tolerate this kind of behaviour by anyone at any level in any Halliburton company,".
