Norilsk Nickel Became Energy Player

Russian metals giant Norilsk Nickel?s press release announced that in the context of risks minimization strategy the board of Norilsk Nickel has increased the share of the company in Russian energy monopoly RAO UES up to 3.52%.

Now Norilsk Nickel is on of the largest players in Russian energetic market ? it has 3.5% of Russian power stations capacity: the blocking shareholding in Krasnoyarsenergo, a shareholding in Kolenergo, 3.52% in RAO UES of Russia and 51% of Norilsko-Taimyrskaya Energy Company.
