Norilsk Nickel Announced Results Of Work

Norilsk Nickel announces the results of its IAS consolidated finance report for first half of 2005.

The net profit of the company this period increased by 11.5% up to $974 mln as compared to $873 mln of the same period last year.

The profit from precious metals sales in 1H05 grew up by 5% and amounted to $3 442 mln. This figure includes platinum sales ? 6% increase up to $377 mln, palladium ? 18% decrease to $407 mln (from $498 mln), gold ? 10% decrease to $189 mln (from $211 mln).
