Belarussian gold and foreign exchange reserves according to the national definition grew 45.5% to $1.523 billion in January-September, the National Bank of Belarus said, CBonds.info reported.
The reserves grew 5.6% in September after falling 4.7% in August.
Reserves in the national currency rose 52.9% to $1.148 billion or 75.3% of total reserves in the nine months, compared with 77.9% on January 1.
Reserves in gold rose 20.6% in the nine months to the equivalent of $238.1 million.
Reserves according to International Monetary Fund (IMF) methodology grew 54.4% in the nine months to $1.189 billion. They grew 5.9% in September after falling 8.3% in August.
The National Bank gold reserves are more than 23 tonnes.
