US Gold Soared on Fund Buying, Energy Prices

US gold futures surged on Monday on fund buying and energy prices gains, traders said.

December gold settled up $4.80 to $476.60 per ounce on Comex division of the NYMEX.

A couple of traders cited fund and speculative buying.
