Gold Futures Rose On Speculative Short Covering

Gold futures rose Tuesday mostly on speculative short covering, traders and analysts said.

December gold contract settled up $1.90 to $462.30 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.

The metals rose on a day when the euro hit two-year lows against the U.S.
dollar.
