Sinopec, China's biggest oil refiner, yesterday said they had replaced three senior officials.
Zhang Jiaren, 61, and Cao Xianghong, 60, resigned from the positions of senior vice-presidents of the company, because of "old age," and Li Chunguang left the post of senior president for "work reallocation," Sinopec yesterday said in a company statement.
And accordingly, Cai Xiyou 44, former vice-president of Sinopec Group has been promoted to senior vice-president, and Dai Houliang, former CFO (chief financial officer) and Zhang Haichao, former deputy general-manager of Sinopec Sales Co Ltd, are to become the vice-presidents of Sinopec.
Company officials yesterday said the Sinopec Group would maintain its long-term development strategy and work to become one of the world's leading oil companies integrating both the upstream and downstream sectors, to rival BP, ExxonMobil and Shell.
