US Stocks Hopping Against High Crude Price

U.S. stocks traded mixed Monday as oil prices hovered around $70.

In the midday exchanges, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 1.68 to 11,135.97. The Standard & Poor's 500 index was up 1.87 to 1,290.99 while the Nasdaq composite index was up 2.19 to 2,328.80.

World crude oil prices rose Monday amid worries of supply in Iran and Nigeria. Brent crude oil hit an all-time high of 71.40 dollars a barrel for June delivery on the London-based ICE Futuresexchange. New York's main contract, light sweet crude for deliveryin May was at 69.32 dollars a barrel.
