TNK-BP Posted Q3 Profit: 171% Jump

British-Russian oil joint venture TNK-BP announced a 171 percent jump in Q3 net profit to Russian accounting standards over the previous quarter, helped by the sale of its unit Udmurtneft.

The company said its net profit rose to 72.01 billion roubles ($2.67 billion) in the third quarter from 26.54 billion roubles ($985.5 million) in the second quarter of 2006.
