Oil prices edged over $59 a barrel on Tuesday following a weather-related halt in loadings at Alaska's key export terminal and forecasts calling for a drawdown in US fuel stocks ahead of winter.
US crude futures for January delivery rose 26 cents to $59,06 a barrel by 0156 GMT, reversing Monday's 17-cent loss amid doubts over OPEC's discipline in cutting supplies and swollen consumer nation inventories.
Brent crude rose 32 cents to $59,30 a barrel.
