Russia and Belarus have a general idea of the way of solving energy and other problems, President Vladimir Putin said after negotiations with Belarussian president.
?Gazprom and Beltransgaz will set up a joint venture on 50/50 terms. I hope they will do that in the near future, before the New Year,? Putin said.
Energy relations between Russia and Belarus will be based on market mechanisms, Putin said. ?We will switch to market relations with all partners, without any exceptions."
Beltransgaz has been assessed by independent experts, Putin said. ?We agreed from the start that Russia and Belarus would accept the evaluation, no matter what it is,? he said.
