China Gas Distributor Increases Sales

China Gas Holdings, piped-gas distributor, said sales will likely more than double in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2007.

Chief financial officer Eric Leung said the sales volume may hit 400 million cubic meters this fiscal year, up from 176 million cubic meters the previous year.

Sales may further reach 800 million cubic meters in the year ending March 31, 2008, as a result of rising demand for natural gas and expansion of the company's distribution network.

China Gas is the second-largest Hong Kong-listed mainland gas distributor in terms of city projects.
