Saudi Arabia: Eight Local Firms in Short List for Refinery

The Saudi oi minister has shortlisted eight local firms to build and operate an oil refinery in Jizan in partnership with international companies that will be invited to make bids, newspapers said yesterday.

The refinery of 250, 000 - 400, 000 bpd capacity is to be part of an economic city in the region of Jizan in the far south of Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea coast near Yemen.
