World oil futures fell further on Monday, in response to reports that the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries could raise its crude output amid near record-high energy prices, analysts said.
In London, Brent North Sea crude for September delivery dropped 47 cents to 77.17 dollars per barrel.
New York's main oil futures contract, light sweet crude for delivery in September, lost 44 cents to 75.35 dollars per barrel.
