National Iranian Oil Company and the Italy's company Edison signed a contract Wednesday on the exploration an offshore area in the Persian Gulf.
According to the contract, Edison will make a 107 million dollar investment in the exploration operations.
Head of the Exploration Affairs of NIOC Seyyed Mahmoud Mohaddes said the agreement included basic studies, seismographic measurement, geological operation, and drilling of one well.
Dayyer block is among the 17 exploration blocks that are based in the Persian Gulf.
