Indian gold demand slowed down on Friday even as prices touched new highs and dealers said the small pick up in demand earlier this week had dried up as buyers await lower levels.
February gold on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd touched its highest level of 11,615 rupees, breaking the 11,533 rupees record struck on Jan 15.
