Say No More: SPC Profit Rises

One of the largest modern petrochemical enterprises in China Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co. Ltd. announced that its 2007 profit after taxation was RMB1.68 billion or RMB0.23 per basic share, compared to RMB 910.96 million or RMB0.12 per basic share in the prior year. The Group's total net sales increased 8.69% to RMB54.25 billion from RMB49.92 billion in 2006. Turnover of the Group for 2007 was RMB55.33 billion, representing an increase of 9.35% as compared to 2006.
