Royal Dutch Shell has announced a stoppage loss of 169,000 barrels per day in Nigeria.
The production outage was caused by two attacks on Shell's oil facilities. A company spokesperson maintained that the first attack led Shell to declare force majors on Bonny Light exports for the rest of April and May.
The spokesperson said that he had no idea about the possible impact on Soku-Buguma and Buguma-Alakiri pipelines from the second attack which occurred on April 21, 2008.
