PetroChina Co Ltd, China’s biggest oil and gas producer, has renewed works at a major oil products pipeline in southwestern China's Sichuan province, following Monday's 7.8-magnitude earthquake.
The pipeline, linking Lanzhou, Chengdu and Chongqing city, resumed operations yesterday afternoon after a 22 hour disruption, the company said.
Delivery capacity is currently at 6,00 cubic meters per hour, the state-run firm said.
The company is conducting safety checks on oil depots and\ fuel stations in the region and will resume production at its Nanchong refinery as soon as possible, it noted.
The oil company will supply 100,000 tons of oil products to the quake-hit area to meet local demand, it added.
