As oil prices fall sharply, British Airways announced on Wednesday that it would be cutting fuel surcharges on newly-purchased plane tickets by up to 13 pounds per leg of a journey.
"British Airways will drop its fuel surcharge by as much as 13 pounds from midnight," the carrier said in a brief statement.
Virgin Atlantic also said on Tuesday that it would be making a similar move.
