Rosneft will provide $180 mln as a sponsorship deposit for the anticipated Olympic Games in Russia, the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee said in a press release Tuesday.
Rosneft has also become the tier one partner of the 2014 Olympics for oil and oil products.
In accordance with the deal terms, Rosneft will supply fuel on preferential terms to the Organizing Committee, the Olympic and Paralympic committees, the Russian Olympic and Paralympic teams, and the state corporation Olympstroy.
The oil producer is also expected to provide its recreational facilities in Russia's Southern Federal District for the Organizing Committee's use.
In addition, Rosneft intends to build more than 150 new gas stations as part of the Olympic program, with more than half of them located in the Kransnodar region.
