BP is going to find a new chief for TNK-BP by the middle of the year
Toby Odone, a BP spokesman, told the journalists that the search for a new chief is in good progress, but declined to name candidates.
Chief operating officer Tim Summers, who has been acting chief executive since Robert Dudley's departure in December, said in January that he would continue in that role until midyear.
TNK-BP is installing new management after BP and AAR, a group that represents shareholders Mikhail Fridman, Len Blavatnik, Viktor Vekselberg and German Khan, agreed to end a power struggle that had hurt output and discouraged investors.
