Rosneft's proven hydrocarbon reserves under the Petroleum Resources Management System classification expanded 2.5 percent in 2009 compared to 2008, to 22.858bn of oil equivalent, the company's press office said. Of the total, the PRMS-based oil reserves inched up 2.1 percent in 2009, to 18.058bn barrels (2.483bn tonnes), and gas reserves climbed 4 percent to 816bn cubic meters.
The rate of proven reserves replacement stood at 163 percent, including 146 percent for oil. The reserves available as of 2009 will last the company for 26 years, including 23 years for oil and 66 years for gas.
