Regular meeting of EuRoPol GAZ Supervisory Board held

The Supervisory Board of EuRoPol GAZ held a meeting in the city of Zakopane (Poland) today. The meeting was moderated by Alexander Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee.

The Supervisory Board of EuRoPol GAZ held a meeting in the city of Zakopane (Poland) today. The meeting was moderated by Alexander Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee.

On behalf of the Russian party the meeting was attended by Stanislav Tsygankov, Head of the International Business Department and Sergey Yemelyanov, First Deputy Director General of Gazprom export. The Polish party was represented by Michal Szubski, President of the PGNiG Management Board and Slawomir Hinc, Vice President of the PGNiG Management Board.

The meeting addressed the current business activities of EuRoPol GAZ, including the issues related to tariff rates and their calculation principles, utilization of the transmission capacities and the fiber-optic communications line of the Yamal – Europe gas pipeline, as well as the company's headquarters relocation.

The EuRoPol GAZ Supervisory Board also considered further steps on promoting the Russian-Polish cooperation in the gas sector.

Joint-Stock Company EuRoPol GAZ Transit Gas Pipeline System was founded in September 1993. The company was set up under the Intergovernmental Agreement on the construction of a gas pipeline system for Russian gas transit through Poland and Russian gas deliveries to Poland dated August 25, 1993. Among the core businesses of EuRoPol GAZ are designing, construction and operation of the Polish section of the Yamal – Europe gas pipeline.

EuRoPol GAZ owns a 684-kilometer section of the Yamal – Europe gas pipeline in Poland.

Gazprom and PGNiG SA are the principal shareholders of EuRoPol GAZ.
