In February 2012 Weatherford was awarded a tender of LUKOIL-Western Siberia for the delivery and service of multi-stage fracturing systems in 2012. The systems will be installed in wells located in the fields of Kogalym, Langepas and Pokachev-Neftegaz entities.
Last year, 68 well completions were successfully deployed by Weatherford specialists in LUKOIL’s Western Siberia fields as part of their large multi-stage frac project with the application of Weatherford’s ZoneSelectTM system. Utilization of this technology enabled increased average flow rates of approximately 40% compared to horizontal wells completed using conventional technology.
This year Weatherford for the first time in Russia will perform eight-zone frac treatments with the use of the ZoneSelectTM technology.
