A gala concert, which concluded the regular XV-th Regional Children's Art Festival "Country of the Warbling Nightingale", was held in Almetyevsk (Tatarstan).
The already traditional parade of young talents of the oil region of Tatarstan is organized and conducted by "Rukhiyat" Spiritual Revival Foundation of OAO TATNEFT. Since the first festival in 1998 more than 50 000 young talents aged from 7 to 18 years have performed at the venues of the "Country of the Warbling Nightingale" festival. Many children then continued their musical education and some of them have become professional artists.
The right to participate in the gala concert was won by the best festival participants on the basis of elimination rounds arranged in a number of health camps of OAO TATNEFT's structural divisions, DK "Neftche" and Almetyevsk College of Music named after F. Yarullin.
The program of the XV-th festival included the following nominations: vocal (solo performance), vocal ensembles, woodwind and brass instruments performers (bands, orchestras), stringed and bow instruments performers (solo, ensembles) and choreography.
Representatives of educational institutions from 18 cities and districts of the oil region of the Republic participated in the contest. This contest offers an excellent opportunity to the talented children not only from the cities, but also from most remote areas, to reveal their creative abilities, to perform on the big stage before a wide audience and to obtain an estimate of the recognized masters of art.
The Grand Prix of the XV-th Festival in the nomination "Choreography. Folk dance" was awarded to the "Nardugan" song and dance ensemble (Nizhnekamsk).
During the festive occasion scholarship holders of the "Country of the Warbling Nightingale" were also awarded. The scholarship instituted in 2011 was granted to 5 students of higher and secondary educational institutions, who had decided to dedicate their life to art.
