Bashneft has completed a deal on acquiring a 100% stake in LLC Uraloil owning a network of 12 filling stations in the Kurgan region operating under the brand name TRANSOIL.
LLC Uraloil is the third largest operator in the engine fuel retail market of the Kurgan region; it operates about 7% of the region’s filling stations. All filling stations of the network to be acquired are situated in the administrative center of the region, the city of Kurgan.
“The acquisition of a retail asset in the Kurgan region will strengthen the position of Ufa high-quality engine fuel in the Urals, which is the Company’s priority market,” pointed out Vladimir Sarkisov, Vice-President for Marketing of JSOC Bashneft. “Following the Strategy approved in December last year, the Company consistently expands its retail network. We are planning to sell up to 80% of the engine fuel we produce via this network by 2016.”
Currently Bashneft’s retail network comprises 460 own filling stations in the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Republic of Udmurtia, the Orenburg and Sverdlovsk regions, as well as over 220 partner filling stations in about 20 regions of Russia.
The Company retails petroleum products in the Ural Federal District via the own network of 25 filling stations of SKON Group in the Sverdlovsk region, as well as via 47 partner filling stations.
