Prem Ballabh Pandey, appointed Chief Executive Officer of Imperial Energy group, officially took office in this position on August 17, 2012. S.N. Ershov, representative of Migration Service, handed to Mr. Pandey permission to work on the territory of the Russian Federation.
Prem Ballabh Pandey was born in 1954 in mountainous region in the north of India. In 1974 he graduated from the best higher education institution in India - University of Lucknow with a major in Physics.
Since 1979 he has been working in the largest Indian National Oil company – ONGC. Over 33 years of work in the company he rose from the ranks of geophysicist as seismic specialist to operations manager. From 1991 till 2001 he dealt with techno-commercial evaluation of exploration blocks/ producing fields using geo-scientific data both for Indian Basins and various overseas blocks. He visited many companies as seismic specialist. From 2001 till 2009 he worked in one of the company’s subdivisions in Western India as a person in charge for evaluation and interpretation of geological data on exploration for hydrocarbons.
Since 2009 till his recent new appointment he was posted as Exploration Manager for Western India, having largest producing basins of India. Over his years of work in ONGC Prem Ballabh Pandey participated in many small and medium sized discoveries in India. He has received many corporate awards for meritorious service in petroleum industry, and the most prestigious ‘National Mineral Award’ from the Govt. of India for his excellent work in geophysics. He is a good manager and professional par excellence.
Mr. Pandey is married. He has two daughters. Mrs. Pandey and Mr. Pandey’s junior daughter are doctors, and his elder daughter is an employee of Microsoft corporation.
