The representatives of OAO TATNEFT Alexey Sosenkov (NGDU "Elkhovneft") and Vassily Shtefan (NGDU "Yamashneft") took the second and fourth places, respectively, at the regional "Best Welder Republic of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2012" contest.
Evgeny Vladimirov was named the Best Welder of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2012, who represented OOO "Neftegaz" of OOO "Glavneftegazstroyservis" Management Company handling for OAO TATNEFT the most complicated challenges in construction and reconstruction of industrial infrastructure facilities and actively participating in the construction of the TANECO Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex.
The regional contest "Best Welder of Tatarstan 2012" was held at the grounds of the Welding Center of "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" in the city of Nizhnekamsk. It was attended by 22 welders representing various enterprises of the Republic. The professionals competed in skill of performing a test piece welding joint, the culture of welding operations performance, as well as in theoretical knowledge of welding performance and compliance with HSE requirements.
Assessment of the test piece welding joint was made by the point system for the following parameters: VMC (visual measurement control), RQC (radiographic quality control), welding time, expenditure of welding materials, compliance with assembly and welding process requirements and compliance with HSE requirements. The welding quality was assessed according to STO Gazprom 2-2.4-083-2006 requirements.
The theoretical assignment was proposed in the form of test questions (tests) for the purpose of determining the amount of the contest participants' knowledge in the field of modern technologies of welding operations performance.
Regional expert groups worked on impersonal test piece weld samples, which guaranteed anonymity and objectivity of decision-making on the quality of welded joints.
