TNK-BP informs that the Third Supplier and Contractor Forum, held as part of the long-term company policy aimed at counterparty interaction efficiency, took place in Moscow.
TNK-BP and the companies participating in the Forum , of which 136 took part in the event for the first time, discussed the results of the implementation of the new TNK-BP contracting philosophy over the last two years as well as the prospects for further cooperation in the context of the company's strategic plans to develop new major projects. The company's Russian and foreign counterparties and potential partners operating in all the spheres of the oil and gas industry provided a positive evaluation of TNK-BP's efforts aimed at the implementation of international supplier and contractor interaction standards and practices.
Another issue the Forum focused on was the roll out of TNK-BP's HSE initiatives and counterparties' compliance with the company standards, rules and procedures.
German Khan, the Executive Director of OJSC TNK-BP Management, noted that today the company is generally satisfied with the work results. "As regards our operational activities, we are now close to the start-up of our projects in Yamal and in the northern Krasnoyarsk Kray," he said. "This is a big platform for interaction with our partners. We will keep developing new formats for the open dialog with contractors in relation to major projects at the very early planning stages."
German Khan also encouraged the counterparties and partners to strictly observe the high TNK-BP standards in the areas of business-ethics and HSE. "We will rigorously adhere to the declared policy of increasing transparency, setting rules that will be equal for everybody, improving the feedback process and the general level of mutually beneficial interaction with our partners," he said.
