With an agreement signed by Statoil and Wintershall this morning in Stavanger, we are taking a big step forward in the implementation of our growth strategy in E&P.
We are becoming one of the leading producers on the Norwegian continental shelf and strengthening our technical know-how. With the agreement signed today in Norway, Wintershall is continuing its strategic "growth at the source" and optimizing its global portfolio in the upstream sector.
It means Wintershall is increasing its daily production in Norway, currently about 3,000 barrels of oil equivalent (boe), to almost 40,000 boe next year. As well as extensive cooperation in our core region Norway, in future we will advance our technological expertise together, especially our expertise in increasing recovery rates and in exploring unconventional resources.
