TATNEFT took part in the XIV-th International Specialized Exhibition "Energy. Resource Conservation" and in the XIII-th International Symposium "Energy and Resource Efficiency and Energy Conservation" held at the "Kazan Fair" pavilions in the City of Kazan. The Company became a winner of the Republican review contest "Resource Efficiency. Energy Conservation" in the nomination "Fuel Sector".
JSC TATNEFT was also awarded the I-st degree diploma for the technology of dumping and cleaning of the produced associated water at the well cluster and II-nd degree diploma in the nomination "Energy Efficient Products" for the technology of hot-separation to provide own fuel gas to the plants. These awards were conferred to the Company at the contest in energy efficient equipment and technologies held annually in the exhibition's frame.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, Energy Saving Technologies Center under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan are the exhibition and the symposium organizers. The events are supported by the President and the Government of the Republic.
A symbolic exhibition opening ribbon was cut by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Sigurd Heiberg, Chairman of the Committee on Sustainable Energy of the UN Economic Commission for Europe, and Sergey Korotkov, Director of the Center for International Industrial Cooperation UNIDO (UNIDO - United Nations Industrial Development Organization) in Russia.
The International Exhibition has become a traditional meeting place for representatives of the energy sector and related industries, sectoral research and academic science. The forum was attended by professionals from different regions of Russia and foreign countries. The exhibition display covered major aspects of the industry and demonstrated cutting-edge technological achievements and research developments, cost-effective technical solutions and promising projects from 170 companies representing 23 regions of Russia, as well as Austria, Great Britain, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Spain, China and the Netherlands.
An extensive exposition of JSC TATNEFT displayed in pavilion No. 1 included the main trends and results of the TATNEFT's comprehensive energy/recourse saving program developed and approved in 2010 for the period up to 2020, including organisational arrangements, introduction of new techniques and technologies, innovative methods of associated petroleum gas utilization, improvement of hard-to-recover oil production methods, etc. The program is aimed at ensuring rational use of resources and implementation of resource saving measures through introduction of the most resource-efficient technologies.
The Company's display stands demonstrated chain drives designed by TatNIPIneft and manufactured at Bugulma Mechanical Plant of JSC TATNEFT, technologies of dual completion and production of two or more layers through one well (DCP) that allow to simultaneously operate the target layers with different reservoir characteristics and properties, engineering developments in well workover and other energy-saving technologies.
Head of the Republic and the persons accompanying him got familiar with the Company's stand paying attention to the technology of drilling horizontal wells and application of the energy saving chain drives.
Visitors of the Company's display were interested in the methods applied for production of extra-viscous oil at Ashalchinskoye field and the technology of multistage fracturing, energy-efficient information technology, etc.
Very popular among the visitors were new items presented by the Almetyevsk heat network supplier enterprise (ATS). According to experts' opinion GRP pipes proposed by JSC "ATS" for heating communications not only reduce the loss of heat, but can last up to 50 years, i.e. several times longer than traditional metal ones.
A meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan chaired by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, on the subject of "Implementation progress of the long-term targeted program "Energy conservation and energy efficiency improvement in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2010-2015 and future years until 2020" was held in the course of the opening of the international exhibition at the "Kazan Fair" business center.
TATNEFT Company was named among the enterprises of the Republic that had achieved the best results in 2012 in reducing industrial production energy intensity. The technologies, which made it possible to achieve such results, were briefly introduced to the meeting by Nail Ibragimov, Deputy General Director for Operations - Chief Engineer of JSC TATNEFT. The official summing up of the Republican contest "Resource Efficiency. Energy Conservation" was made at the meeting, where TATNEFT was awarded the winner's diploma and the memorable prize in the "Fuel Industry" nomination.
Representatives of the Republican media were also awarded for the promotion of energy saving programs. The corporate media of JSC TATNEFT were among the winners as well. The winner's diploma in the nomination "Best print edition" was presented to the "Oil and Life" magazine. Diplomas for prize places in other categories were awarded to the "Time of Tatneft" TV-studio and to Natalia Klyuyeva, correspondent of the "Oil News" newspaper.
