Weatherford presented a report on geoscience monitoring of field development process at EAGE/SPE Joint Workshop 2013

On 5 March 2013, Weatherford representatives Dick Zinno, Chief Geophysicist, and Anna Rubtsova, Borehole Seismic Geophysicist, reported on Multi-stage Frac Microseismic Monitoring: Application Criteria and Limitations in Western Siberia Reservoirs at a Joint EAGE/SPE Workshop 2013 held in Moscow.

The subject stirred up considerable interest of participants due to active implementation of advanced multi-stage frac technologies aimed to production increase of horizontal wells. Weatherford specialists showed the results of microseismic monitoring in Western Siberia, reviewed the related issues and possible solutions, existing and further application fields for that advanced method.

The workshop held by European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) and Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)gathered both specialists of research institutions, and representatives of oil/gas operators and service providers to discuss modern geological and geophysical methods for planning and supervision of field development, efficiency of applied technologies and further steps in this sphere.
