To all counteragents of NOVATEK and its subsidiaries

In view of the recent appearance of internet website at www.tambaineft.ru, which has unlawfully publicized the information relating to our subsidiary company, OAO Tambeyneftegas,

OAO NOVATEK (“NOVATEK”) would like to state the following:

1. The website www.tambaineft.ru:
a. does not have any relation to the companies comprising the NOVATEK Group, including OAO Tambeyneftegas and is unfamiliar to us;
b. unlawfully uses:
- the name ОАО Tambaineft occurring in near resemblance with ОАО Tambeyneftegas;
- corporate details of ОАО Tambeyneftegas;
- ОАО Tambeyneftegas’ regulatory disclosure content;
c. contains untrustworthy information relating to:
- the existence of oil refinery at the location of ОАО Tambeyneftegas in Salekhard;
- the ownership of the licenses for hydrocarbons exploration and production within the Tambey group of fields;
and, therefore, may serve as a resource intended for fraudulent operations;
2. ОАО Tambeyneftegas neither produces hydrocarbons nor exports, directly or through intermediaries, such products as: natural or liquefied gas, oil, bitumen, sulphur, diesel fuel, kerosene or other refined products;
3. Regulatory disclosure information regarding ОАО Tambeyneftegas’ activities is released, in accordance with the requirements of the Russian corporate law, through specialized websites – the company does not have a website of its own;
4. OAO NOVATEK and its subsidiaries shall not be responsible for the actions of persons identifying themselves as representatives of ОАО Tambaineft;
5. NOVATEK reserves the right to use all lawful efforts to prevent fraud and violation of other rights in relation to the Group;
6. All the information relating to NOVATEK’s activities may be obtained at its official website www.novatek.ru;
7. We urge all participants operating in the petroleum market to be very careful in selecting partners in order to avoid the potential risk of fraud.
