The results of the annual contest "Maintenance of the aesthetic condition of the properly organized springs and water quality improvement" were summed up at JSC TATNEFT.
By the results of the current year the first place among the structural divisions of the first group was awarded to the springs developed by NGDU "Jalilneft", the second was NGDU "Elkhovneft" and NGDU "Aznakaevskneft" ranked number 3, while NGDU "Almetyevneft" took the fourth place. Among the enterprises of the second group the first place went to OOO "Tatneft-Energoservice" Management Company, OOO "Tatspetstransport" Management Company took the second. OOO "Systema-Service" Management Company was a winner in the third group and OOO "UPTZH for PPD" won the second place.
This competition is one of the most picturesque and original ecological contests among the TATNFT Group enterprises. The materials on the claimed springs submitted for the contest, as well as the ecological condition of the springs are assessed. In addition to the structural divisions of TATNEFT, service enterprises of Tatarstan also participate in the contest.
The springs are a kind of indicator of the oilmen activities. Improvement or deterioration of the water quality indicates the process of oil development. Therefore, the quality of water in the springs is under a special control. The targeted geological and technical activities carried out by the oilmen in the areas of TATNEFT Company's activities contribute to prevention of drinking water sources pollution. JSC TATNEFT has developed and implemented a monitoring system for operational monitoring of surface water and groundwater in the territory of the Company's activities. The water quality is systematically monitored and analyzed in the laboratory.
Currently, the oilmen keep and maintain more than 300 springs in proper condition.
The springs' condition is only one of the segments of the environment well-being. The new Environmental Strategy of JSC TATNEFT being developed for the period up to 2025 also gives special attention to this issue.
