A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Zhang Gaoli, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, took place in Sochi.
The parties noted the enhancement of the bilateral cooperation in the gas sector. Particular attention was given to the course of negotiations on planned Russian gas supplies to China via the western route, as well as gas supplies from the Russian Far East, underground gas storage and power generation issues. The Power of Siberia project is advancing in strict compliance with the schedule.
Gas resources exploitation and gas transmission system development in Eastern Russia
Alexey Miller and Zhang Gaoli visited the Laura Biathlon & Ski Complex built by Gazprom. The Vice Premier of the State Council of the PRC was shown around the facility on the eve of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing. Laura successfully hosted the biathlon and cross-country skiing competitions during the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2014, as well as other major Russian and international competitions.
