Construction of three vertical steel floating-roof tanks (VFRT) for oil storage is ongoing in Yuzny Balyk line operation dispatcher station of the Nefteyugansk Oil Trunk Pipeline Department.
The station tank farm expansion is performed within the “Comprehensive Yuzhny Balyk LODS revamping” investment program.
The construction of VFRT NN 13, 25 and 26 with the capacity of 20,000 m3 started in August 2015. In May 2016 tanks No. 16 and 26 were hydrotested. Currently tank walls and roof outer surfaces corrosion protection is in progress. Floating roof assembly and erection have been started in the tank No. 26, the vessel will be also tested for strength and leakage before the end of June 2016. External fire-extinguishing systems, overhead cable trays installation, motor operated valve houses construction are in progress in all facilities. Preparatory works for sewage system installation and service pipelines pre-assembly have also been started.
Facilities construction is conducted with strict observance of Transneft, JSC regulatory documents. Tank farm expansion is intended to increase the stored oil volume.
20,000 m3 VFRT No. 16 is scheduled to be put in service in September 2016. The remaining tanks will be put in service in the middle of November this year. After VFRT operation is started, the nominal tank farm capacity will reach 480,000 m3.
