Transneft Upper Volga reported on July 20, 2016, that the company finishes reconstruction of sections of Surgut – Polotsk oil trunk pipeline (OTP), performed in the territory of Dalne-Konstantinovsky and Bogorodsky Districts of Nizhny Novgorod Region.

Replacement of pipeline sections was performed according to the results of in-line inspection conducted earlier.
Total length of the replaced sections is equal to more than 8 km, including one crossing of a road and 17 crossings with different underground utilities.

Works on reconstruction of sections of Surgut – Polotsk OTP started in October 2015. The company performed construction and assembly works on welding, welding joints insulation, trenching and hydraulic tests.
In the second quarter of 2016 employees of Transneft Upper Volga performed technological connection of the replaced section to the functioning OTP. At the present time works on technical and biological recultivation of the territory are continued; arrangement of permanent crossings is conducted.

Earlier in the area of responsibility of Transneft Upper Volga sections of Gorky – Yaroslavl OTP, total length of which was equal to more than 20 km, were connected to the acting trunk pipelines system after reconstruction.
