Russian oil giant Rosneft is working on a project for bunkering vessels in the Spanish port of Algeciras, according to the materials for the upcoming Monday meeting between Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and the representatives of the Spanish business.
During the meeting will be discussed and negotiation opportunities for entering of the oil giant into the Spanish port and establish join bunkering company, which to serve vessels.
Moreover, important energy shipping project is the join operations of Lukoil and the Spanish Meroil oil terminal in the port of Barcelona, which has estimated worth of $50 mln.
The article notes that in the field of energy the most significant projects between Russian and Spanish companies are the joint venture between Alliance Oil and Repsol for exploration and all-year production of oil and gas in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District, which is worth $840 mln, as well as deep vacuum gasoil processing complex on the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka site, which is in construction by the Spanish company Tekhnikas Reunidas and has worth of $1.4 bln.
According to information, at the end of 2015 the volume of accumulated direct investment in Russia from Spain amounted to $196 mln, while those from Russia to Spain amounted to $6.2 bln.
The investments in Russia are mostly concentrated in the sectors of oil and gas production, metal production, mining and production of electrical equipment, while investments in Spain are mainly in the construction of residential buildings and the real estate sector.
