St. Petersburg, 19 March - Neftegaz.RU. According to the report of Gazprom, the working meeting between Alexey Miller, Gazprom´s CEO, and Joe Kaeser, CEO of Siemens, took place on March 16, 2018.

The parties discussed ongoing and future cooperation, paying particular attention to the provision of equipment for the Grozny TPP.

According to the signed contract, Siemens will ship, install and put into operation 2 gas turbines with a total capacity of up to 360 MW for the TPP. It is planned to bring the facility onstream in 2019.

Alexey Miller and Joe Kaeser noted the importance of the Grozny TPP construction project for Chechnya. The new plant will, inter alia, fill the gap in power generation, provide reliable electricity supplies to consumers, and expand the gas sales market.

Siemens entered the Russian market in 1853. Gazprom and Siemens started cooperating in 1993. The 2 companies are working together in such areas as automation, telemechanics, power generation, compressor station equipment, oil and gas field development technologies, energy saving, and environmental protection.
