Baghdad, August 20 - Neftegaz.RU. LUKOIL reported on August 17, that the company commissioned a new well pad M11/1A at the West Qurna-2 oil field in Iraq.
The production reached 4.7-4.8 kbpd from the 1st 2 wells of the new pad, which is fully in line with the preliminary forecasts. The wells are 2.7-2.9 thousand meters deep. By the end of August, it is planned to commission 6 more wells previously drilled on the pad.
The expected cumulative production from the well pad M11/1A is 36 kbpd, which will allow to maintain 400 kbpd oil production level from Mishrif formation. It is planned to produce 14 million tons of oil from this pad during the license period until 2035.
In spring 2018, LUKOIL and Basra Oil Company signed West Qurna-2 Field Development Plan, which provides for oil production plateau of 800 thousand barrels a day. According to the document, production level will amount to 480 thousand barrels a day in 2020 and 800 thousand barrels a day in 2025.
